On July 12th, Broadway Rave came to The Bellwether to celebrate their 3rd anniversary. They put on an amazing show, bringing on special guests and offering an interactive experience by allowing the audience to step on stage and take part in the show. This is a one-of-a-kind show that should not be missed.

For those of you unfamiliar with Broadway Rave, they were founded by the creators of Emo Night Brooklyn as a party for "Musical Theatre nerds, drama Geeks, actors, actresses, theatre lovers, and more!". Today, they are one of the most popular Broadway dance parties around. Broadway Rave highly encourages guests to dress the part of their favorite Broadway character and to come on stage and be part of the show.

The show kicked off with Jenna Morrin DJing and special guests Garret Clayton, Marissa Winokur, and Eden Espinosa. After performing a few songs, they stopped to lay down a few ground rules and welcome the audience up to the stage. The remainder of the night would be a collaboration with the audience, performing classic Broadway songs in front of their peers. at first, allowing up to 10 guests at a time, this quickly had to be scaled back to 5 (The audience was very eager to participate).

The audience participated in reenacting Broadway classics in full costume, such as "Popular" from Wicked and "You Can't Stop the Beat" from Hairspray, to name a few. In full costume, their performances were spectacular, often with full applause from the audience after their act. You could feel the sense of community and support after every performance.

whether or not you are into Broadway, the show was a blast! With classic songs that just about anyone would recognize. Luckily for Orange County, Broadway Rave will be making their way to The Anaheim House of Blues Parish Room on August 22nd. You can purchase your tickets Here
